She was sort of taken back by his thanks and said nothing about it, merely smiling slightly in return. "You could learn to fight back" she suggested. "Marcus only picks on you because you don't fight back. He's really not that bad of a guy and if you stand up for yourself, he might not bully you anymore." She leaned up against the tree with a thoughtful look.

"You are crazy... I don't know how to fight.. and I don't want to hurt people. Plus it's Marcus we talking about.." Liam just said, looking at his hand, they were tiny compared to his, how would he even fight him back, he didn't know what to do, he didn't even know how to punch either. Liam just looked at her calmly. "I doubt he will stop, he will probably keep doing it until he kills me or something." Liam said, he didn't seem scared, just a bit sad though. He sighed once more, why was his life this hard?

Maggie was skipping gym. It wasn't that she was an uncoordinated kid or anything. In fact she was quite athletic and flexible. She had to be, escaping mad and pyscotic ghosts required those skills. But she had a headache and was sick of her peers. They were annoying her. So she had faked feeling naucious (sp?) and had gotten a pass to the nurse's. And instead of going there, she had gone outside for some fresh air. It was while she was out on the quad, she saw Sammi Miller and Liam Grayson, two seniors, having a discussion. Liam looked uncomfortable. She headed over. "Is there a problem" she wanted to know, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.

Liam was lost in his thoughts, wondering what to do, he couldn't fight, and he couldn't run away, plus Marcus would always find him no matter where he would be. Liam touched his chin for a while, realizing it still had that tomato juice, it was bad and just tried to clean his face. Liam soon heard footsteps he looked a bit fearful but when he saw Maggie he was relieved. He didn't know the girl, maybe she was a junior or something, he wasn't sure. Her question shook him a bit. "I'm alright.. I mean everything is good.."Liam just managed to say, trying to wipe out the tomato juice on his hair, it was disgusting but it was the usual, normal treatment he received.

"Yeah, we're fine. Back off, sophomore" added Sammi with a frown. She didn't know Maggie personally, but unless you lived under a rock socially you had heard about her crazy tendencies. Talking to herself, getting taken home at weirdly early hours by the Saint-James police department members, constantly having bruises and concussions and broken bones, etc. Stuff like that. And Sammi didn't need a freak near her. Of course, she wasn't quite normal herself, but she could at least control talking to animals quite easily.
Maggie's raised eyebrow remained elevated, an amused smile playing at her lips. She didn't care what anyone thought of her. "I wasn't really talking to you, senior" she replied pointedly, before turning curiously to Liam who was wiping tomato juice from his face. "You don't look ok" she said honestly.

Liam looked at Sammi angered by her reaction, he just kept looking at her and shook his head. "Looks like you are just like the rest, treating people this way.." Liam just said, still looking at Sammi, when he turned his attention to Maggie, he didn't really what to tell her, he couldn't make up a lie, after all he is wiping some tomato. "Sorry.. for her reaction, don't know what got into her." Liam said, avoiding her question for the time being, did he really have to say what happened, he just sighed though. "I'm good, thank you for your concern.. just.. had hum some tomato problem... yes.."

Sammi snorted. "Look, I don't know what your problem is, kid. I tried to help you, if you'll recall."
Maggie rolled her eyes with a bored expression. "Yeah, yeah, great story. Now move." She elbowed her way in front of Sammi and reached out with her non-bandaged hand to help Liam get some dried tomato juice from behind his left ear. "I can see that" she added in response to his explanation. "How exactly did you get a tomato problem?"
Sammi looked highly offended, stumbling backwards slightly as she was pushed. "Well, fine then. See if I try and help you again, Liam. Good luck with you-know-who after school then."

"My problem, oh so now you want me to tell you my problem, alright how to begin then. Since elementary school Marcus picked on me, majority of students did, I got beaten up, by his gang of monkeys. You didn't help me much today, looking at him, dreaming that you'll be with him I guess. Hell you wouldn't even stop Marcus if he had a bloody knife and about to kill me with it." He said, he was angry, that rage of being pushed and walked on all the time by Marcus and his gang, they always saw him as a nice lad, but he wasn't nice, that was just a lie, He just sighed calmly. "You judge people, just like the others do, you are dependent to what others think.. and you can't have your own mind.." Liam just said, as he looked at the ground for a while, he then looked at Maggie again. "The students... Marcus and his psychopathic friends.. threw tomato's at me.." Liam just said, he then turned his attention to Sammi. "I'm pretty sure.. you even laughed at that."

Sammi gave a hollow laugh. "I laughed at it because it was funny. That didn't mean I wouldn't stop him if he had a knife, because I most certainly would and"-
"Anyways" Maggie said loudly, cutting off Sammi, who looked doubly insulted now. "I'm sorry to hear about the tomatoes. I can take care of Marcus for you if you would like."

"Oh yeah that is funny huh, hanging on a tree, with some people throwing tomatoes at you, how amusing, what if it happened to you? Oh of course, it wouldn't happen to you, you just like everyone else, easy to blend in with people, but I'm not like that.. I'm different and I got the right to be different. Plus what would you do if I fell from the tree and got some broken bones, oh yeah, laugh like the rest of them. Liam just said, he then looked at Maggie and shook his head. "No thanks.. I'll just. .face him and let him beat the crap out of me, that's what people want to see after all.." Liam just said, sadly again, but still angry, angry at Sammi for how she was rude to Maggie, she shouldn't of been that way. "Sorry.. I just... had a bad day.. like always." Liam said, looking at the sky, for a moment there.. he wished he was a bird, so he could be free and without any worries. He sighed calmly.

Sammi just gave an irritated sigh and turned her back on the two of them, crossing her arms and ignoring them out of spite.
Maggie either didn't notice or didn't care. Probably the second of the two choices. Instead of doing anything about Sammi's attitude, she focused on Liam. "It's not fair that you have to sit there and let someone hurt you. I'm going to be here with you after school and if it gets out of hand, I'll step in." He looked like he might be about to protest again, so she added, "there's no use arguing with me, Liam. In case you haven't noticed, I don't care what other people think of me."

"I do care though...judging people by what others say.. is just wrong, inhuman.. it's because of that reaction.. that people...are acting badly... because of them if bad things happen to others.. and I just wish some would know how to treat others properly." Liam said, looking at Sammi calmly, he sighed he wished that one day she would understand that everyone is different and that she has no right to treat someone badly.. "You shouldn't do that for me.. I'm used to.. being alone after all, I have always been alone." Liam just said, he only had his brother who cared for him, he sighed calmly.

Sammi pretended to pout. "Oh boo hoo, get over yourself Grayson. Maybe if you weren't so pathetic, Marcus wouldn't feel the need to give you wedgies and throw tomatoes at you and bash your face in."
Maggie whirled around. "Look girl" she growled. "You are not helping. So just back. off." Without waiting for a reaction, she turned back to Liam. "I don't care what you say. We will face Marcus together and hopefully he will leave you alone after you win the fight. And then others will look up to you for standing up to him. There's no changing that. It will happen. Deal with it." Her tone was firm, but not angry.

Liam just got more enraged by what Sammi said, he put his hand on her t-shirt holding her and staring into her eyes. "You don't know me and you already judge, me, what kind of a bloody person are you, not respecting others, acting like you were the one supreme being.. YOU ARE JUST LIKE MARCUS. Liam said, yelling at her, his anger taking over, however his hand soon vanished, just as he kept holding her t-shirt, Liam didn't realize it, just angry at the girl. "Fine.. no more running around, I'll beat the crap out of him if I have to.. I'll show him what it's like, going to the hospital..." Liam just said angrily as he let Sammy, his emotions still boiling, so much that his hands still remained invisible...slowly is body, got transparent, about to go invisible because of those emotions he couldn't control.

Sammi took a step backwards as first Maggie and then Liam attacked her. She opened her mouth, not quite sure what she was going to say, when Liam made it easy for her by going invisible on her. "He...can...go...invisible..." She began slowly, blinking. Then she started laughing. "What a freak." She turned and walked off to go back to math.
Maggie stood there staring at the place where Liam had been standing previously. She tilted her head to one side with an amused expression. So she wasn't the only weirdo at this school, as she had assumed. "Liam" she called after a moment. "She's gone."
