"She ordered Fettachini Alfredo" Marcus piped up helpfully. "I think you and Sammi were talking while she did."
"I can speak for myself, thank you Marcus." Maggie's tone was cold, but her expression softened at his genuine appologetic look. "Ok, fine." She looked amused. "Apparently I need a translator so go ahead Marcus, speak for me."
Marcus glanced briefly at Sammi and Liam and then back to Maggie. "I wasn't...I didn't..."

Liam just laughed at what Maggie said, and the way Marcus was, it was just too funny. "Ah you two would be good together.. Liam said, though when he looked into Sammi's eyes, it was probably risky saying that, since Sammi's friend was Marcus girlfriend. "As.. friends I mean." He said, as he gulped, it was easy to know when Marcus was interested in a girl, he just hoped Sammi wouldn't notice, since he never saw Marcus acting like this with a girl.

Both Sammi and Maggie's eyes were dark as thunderclouds when Liam said Maggie and Marcus would be good together. Marcus looked hopeful, but he covered that quickly. Maggie was the first to speak. "Yeah, well...whatever."
Sammi was next. "Maggie...I would like a word with you in private."
Marcus was third. He looked nervous. "Sammi...Liam didn't mean anything...Maggie knows I have a girlfriend...besides, she doesn't even like me!"

"Come on Sammi, you know I didn't mean anything... I just meant.. as friends.." Liam said, looking at Marcus, would be hard changing a girls mind, so he was wondering if Marcus had any tricks to convince her to stay.

"I know exactly what you meant" Sammi hissed. "And I see the way you look at her Marcus. It has to stop. Now. Or I text Amber." She reached for her bag.
Maggie's hand shot out and grabbed Sammi's wrist. "I know you don't like me, and trust me, I don't like you either. But there is nothing going on between me and Marcus. Like he said...I don't even like him."
Sammi looked down at Maggie's iron grip with a sullen expression. "Let go of me."
"Gladly." Maggie released Sammi with a little shove. Sammi grabbed the table with her other hand to keep her chair from tipping.
Marcus glanced at Liam. "This is an awful meal" he muttered. "And it hasn't even started yet. Maybe we should just get out of here?"

Liam glanced back at Marcus and sighed, he was right but they couldn't leave now. Liam just sighed. "Too late we already ordered." He said by whispering, when he said that, their plates arrived, Liam looked at the food, hungry by the smell, it was just so good in view and smell, he then looked at Sammi. "Well bon appetit everyone."

Sammi picked at her salad.
Maggie picked at her pasta.
Marcus dug into his pizza with gusto and had eaten half of it before he looked up to realize that Sammi was texting someone. "Sammi" he began through a mouthful of cheese. "Who are you texting?" He sounded sort of panicked. He didn't want his relationship with Amber to be killed over someone that didn't even like him. If Maggie returned his feelings then fine, but otherwise, he and Amber were happy.
Sammi smirked casually. "No body. Just go back to your meal Marcus."

Liam picked on his spicy spaghetti, the flavor was just amazing, the hot spicy sauce, for other people they would be drinking galleons of water, but Liam was used to spicy stuff, so he didn't need much, he just looked at Sammi for a while though and then at Marcus with a worried expression, he was wondering who she was calling, Liam knew Marcus girlfriend, has the senile crazy b..... He just shook his hand and kept looking at Sammi, that smirk of hers, he didn't know why but he liked it. He just shook his head again it wasn't normal, she did call him a freak after all, he sighed. "You aren't calling.. who I think you are... right Sammi?"

Sammi looked up from her phone and directly at Liam. "I'm not calling anyone Liam." She smiled innocently, her thumbs still moing over the keypad of her flip phone.
Marcus swallowed another bite of pizza and glanced sideways at Liam. "I think I'd better get out of here before..."
"Well, well, well, isn't this a cozy little gathering." Amber Mills stood there, one hand on her hip, her ice-blue eyes studying the four of them. "Thanks for the heads up, Sam." She tilted her head to the side. "Marcus...honey...what do you think you're doing?"

Was it Liam, or was the room getting cold, when he heard Amber, he understood that sensation he had, he looked at Marcus, never did Liam see him like that, almost afraid, which was odd to see but understandable. When someone was dating Amber, well they could expect the worse from her, he just looked at Maggie and whispered. "She once.. dated a football player... poor dude... never was the same... he is now.. in an insane asylum..." He did look at Sammi, angry with her of course, he just got up and took her by her hand and dragged her away, by force, first time he did that. As he went to a calmer place. "Are you out of your freaking mind.. calling her here, you know what happens to guys when they are with her.. and she.... learns about... the fact that.. god you are crazy. Is that really the kind of friend you want to be with?" Liam just asked, he was wondering what to do, he had an idea though, he kept looking at Sammi for a while and sighed. "I thought you'd want to be friends.. doesn't seem the case though." Liam just said, looking at her and then got close to Marcus and Amber, he looked worried for Marcus, and was wondering if the plan could work.. "Barbie girl.. can I hum.. borrow Marcus for a few seconds, I need to speak to him."

Maggie shook her head, an amused smile playing on her lips. "I heard the story...but I also think he was going crazy before he was dating her...I think she just helped him out a little." She put down her fork and watched the next few events with interest.
Sammi winced when Liam grabbed her arm and dragged her away. When they reached their destination, she yanked her arm free. "Amber is one of my best friends" she declared hotly. "So excuse me for telling her when her boyfriend of five months is hitting on some freak who's two years younger than him."
Amber had taken Liam's empty seat next to Marcus and was running her fingers through his hair. Maggie seemed revolted by the sight. "I have a name you know." She spoke in a bitter tone. "It's Amber. Not barbie girl. And anything you have to say to Marcus can be said in front of me...and her."

"Yeah... I don't think so, sorry barbie girl.. but.. you kinda act.. like one of those whiny.. girls when they don't get something they want, now excuse me, but this is a guy only talk you see.. I don't know if the small magazine brain of yours can understand that as well as you can know which dress people are wearing, or which perfume people are using. Thank you for understanding." This time,Liam waited for Marcus to at least get up, but something told him that maybe Marcus didn't have such courage, he just sighed. "Fine amberdoodle, I challenge you to a contest, the one who eats a lot of spicy stuff and doesn't drink any water, wins, if I win, you get your plastic face out of here... and if you win.. I do all of your homework. Or.. all the homeworks of Sammi instead.. because she seems to have a personality, no offense intended.""

Amber could only stare at Liam as he went on some wild rampage thing. When he was done she stood up and faced him. "I am not taking any challenge made by you. Sammi, Marcus and I are out of here" she said with a sarcastically sweet smile before slinging her purse over one shoulder. "Come on guys."
Sammi, who had made her way back over by this point, grabbed her bag and followed Amber immediately.
Marcus glanced at Amber and then Liam in horror. "Ok, ok, everyone just calm down. Amber...I want to at least finish eating. You can stay and have some of my pizza. How's that?
Amber turned slowly, one perfectly plucked blonde eyebrow inching slowly towards her hairline. "Marcus...either I leave, or she does." She tilted her head towards Maggie. "Who's it going to be?"

That didn't work as well as he had planned, a guy, someone they didn't know just looked at Liam. "Id be interested." Liam just looked at the guy, for a moment, and then looked at them he just sighed.. "No thanks." Liam said, looking at Maggie calmly, hearing what Amber said, Liam just sighed. "It's okay Marcus, you three should stay, me and Maggie will go." Looking at his spaghetti, that he couldn't even finish, he sighed, he couldn't let Marcus choose, mainly because Liam wasn't like Amber, and mainly cause he knew that Marcus couldn't say no to what Amber would say, though he would of liked it, if he could be surprised by the hockey players actions. "You can bring your food if you want Maggie, guess you'll finish it in the car."

Pretty much anyone in their general vicinity was watching them now, as they probably were more entertaining than cable. But did that mean Maggie stood up with her food and left like a good little girl? No. She remained seated. "I'm actually comfy where I am." She raised an eyebrow at Amber, testing her.
Amber did not look like she was in the mood for this. She swept back her curtain of bangs and pulled the rest of her hair into a messy bun. "You do not want to mess with me right now, Russell."
Sammi hung out by the door, watching with heightened interest.
