Maggie shifted in her seat so that she was facing him. "No they don't. You haven't gone invisible once today since before the fight. Your powers only manifest when you want them too. You'vev just been too nervous to notice." She paused, realizing she may have been a tad too insensitive and then added, "but I'm sorry about your mom."

That actually made him happy, as he looked at Maggie. "Thanks.. for everything.. I'm just glad.. I met someone like you.. being alone for all those years.. I guess it was the fear that... my father gave me by the way he treated me." Liam said, restarting the car again.

Maggie felt a little awkward under the look he was giving her and was glad when he restarted the car. "You're welcome" she finally said, feeling it would be rude not to reply at all. Staring at her hands she added in a softer tone, "It wasn't fair of your dad to beat you either. You should stop blaming yourself. Nothing that happened was your fault."
