"You seem to have a really, really good connection" Maggie mused out loud. "You could calm them down with only a few words. I don't think I've ever seen anyone be able to do that before, even a professional."

Kristy cleared her throat and shrugged, "its not that big a deal, there just used to me thats all. I am sure Carrie, she is the other barn hand, could do the same" she says making that up quickly.

Maggie shrugged, letting it go. After a few more minutes of riding in silence, she leaned forward to stroke Lillie's neck. "It would be cool to be able to talk to animals" she mused out loud. "Wouldn't it?"

Kristy looked over at her quickly and then smiled, "yeah...I think talking with them would be great, it would make my work so much easier" she says calmly.

Maggie raised an eyebrow. "You're acting a little jumpy...are you ok?" She gave Lillie's neck another pat and clicked her tongue to keep the pace up. It was peaceful out and the scenery was beautiful.

Kristy took a breath as she leaned down to avoid being hit by a branch. She breathed in the scent of Oliver and when she came back up she was fine and completely calm. She smiled over at Maggie and nodded, "yeah I am fine...I guess since this is Olivers first time on a trail with another horse it just makes me really happy" she says, which was pretty true.

Maggie shrugged and nodded. "Oh, ok..." They rode in silence again. Maggie didn't really know what to say. She ducked under a branch and looked at Kristy again. There was something about her that was a little different but Maggie couldn't put her finger on it.

Kristy smiled and nods her head and moves with the rythym of Oliver under her. She could hear him complaining about wanting to go faster. She laughed a little, "would you like to go faster? Trot a little, canter maybe?" she asks.

"Sure" Maggie aggreed, clicking her tongue to urge Lillie into a trot. She shifted her weight just right in the saddle, enjoying herself immensely. "So..." she said after a moment of silence, hearing nothing but the pounding of the horses' hooves. "What do you like to do for fun other than this?"

Kristy squeezed Oliver into a trot and sat for awhile then started posting when he started to get faster. She smiled as she watched where she was going, "well I love to read and write, I like music but I am usually here so I really dont do much other stuff" she smiles.
