Derek grew up in Southern California, he had a mom and a dad and his life was good. From an early age he played guitar and drums, he was always musically inclined and it just seemed right for him to set off on his own one day and do his own thing. At sixteen he dropped out of school, went touring with some friends and their band. Of course it didn't last all that long but he couldn't go home he couldn't prove his parents right. So instead he stopped in a town, Saint James City, and started picking up odd jobs here and there. He still is very much in to the music scene playing with some odd bands here and there as he is very talented.

Derek set his guitar down and wiped the sweat from his eyes, he'd only really played this gig for the free booze and this one girl. She was always at the bar and he just hoped that maybe he'd be able to convince her to go home tonight after several failed attempts over the last few weeks. He hated failure at least when it came to the fairer sex and it rarely happened, in fact on his way over to the bar he had to tell some blond chick with fake boobs that he didn't want anything to do with her but now here he was sitting down beside his prize. “Hey there” he said with his signature smirk that usually got a girls panties off.
