Derek pocketed his phone and let Lily keep Lars' leash once the dog was hooked up, seeing he seemed happy and all. "So where do you live?" He asked as they headed out of the apartment in to the cool fall air. "Its way to fucking cold here " He muttered fishing his pack of cigarette out of his pocket lighting up with a smile, "so Lily, tell me something special about yourself."

Just a street over from Orchard Lily answered, gripping Lars' leash a little tighter as another dog walked past them. She breathed in the fresh cool air and laughed softly when Derek said it was too cold. Hmm well maybe you shouldn't have moved to Michigan if you don't like the cold she teased, glancing over at him for a moment. So Lily, tell me something special about yourself he said. Lily shrugged her small shoulders I don't know if I'd consider anything about me special. she said honestly. |

Derek walked along side her tugging his jacket around him self more. "Yeah well this is where we ran out of money " He said honestly and looked around "and it was the summer then too... " He said watching as Lars ran along ahead of them. "Oh you're beautiful, i'm sure there is something special, you take photographs thats something special "

Derek explained how they ended up in Michigan instead of somewhere warmer. Yeah that would certainly hold you down, she commented. She nodded when he said it was the summer then. Michigan was beautiful in the summer and just the perfect weather. Lars tugged at the leash a little and Lily let it out some but still keeping a firm grip on it. He was a big dog who could easily drag her across the sidewalk if he wanted to. I guess so she answered with a shrug when Derek said that taking photos was something special. Honestly she was just being honest. She didn't feel there was anything special about her. What about you? [/blockquote] |

Derek smiled "Naw nothing real special just music i guess, oh and i beat halo on legendary" He said with a small laugh guessing that meant nothing to her. His pace slowed a bit as they aproached her house. "Soo I'll give you a call some time?" He asked pausing when they were at the bottom of the front steps turning to face her and slipping Lars' leash from her hand, before resting his hands lightly on her hips and smirking down at her. Sure this wasn't exactly his style a good night kiss while dad could be watching but something about Lily made it feel worth it. He leaned in catching her lips in a light kiss.

Lily laughed softly when Derek said he had beat halo on legendary. That's impressive she said. She wasn't very good at video games, her one video game skill was probably tetris and she didn't think she was even that good at that either. They had finally reached her house and she stepped onto her front walk, Soo I'll gve you a call some time? He asked. Letting Derek take Lars leash from her, she was about to answer but he rested his hand on her hip, smirking down at her. She nodded, mute for the moment. He caught her lips in a light kiss and Lily was shocked. She didn't peg Derek as the type of guy to give a goodnight kiss so it was surprising to her. She didn't think about her father though and reached up on her tiptoes to kiss him softly, resting a hand on his chest. That's when she heard her father clearing his throat from the front porch. She hadn't even heard the screen door open. Shit she mumbled. I'll talk to you later she mumbled to Derek, clearly embarrassed. She turned and headed straight into the house so that her dad would follow her. [/blockquote] |
