Kristy was cleaning up after her shift on Saturday. She would of course be staying here but she still had to make sure everything was clean. She would be riding her cousins horse and her horse once she was done. She sighed thinking about Jason and how he was doing with Grace. She looked around and then outside as she heard a car pull in. She shrugged and just went back to cleaning, it wasnt unusual to have people pull in the farm. She got done with cleaning and went into the tack room to start getting ready to ride.

Ashley was being dropped off at the stables by her parents since she didnt have her own car. Usually, she would've ridden her bike here, but her parents had some time and insisted they drive her. She grabbed her bag and walked into the stables. Only one of her horses was borded here, and that was Champ, her horse. He was here because he had gotten sick from the cold weather, and he had to be kept away from their other horses. However, he had already been here for 2 weeks, and it was time for him to come home. That's why she was here. It was Ashley's job to saddle him up and take him for a little ride to make sure he was 100% cured. She walked down the hall of the stables, the stalls lined each side of it. She saw another girl cleaning up, and she smiled at her. Ashley kept walking down to her horse, and then smiled to herself when she found him. He was a great horse! He came when he was called, or when you whistled for him. He recognized her, and turned in his stall to come greet her. [teal]Hey boy... how you doin'?[/teal] she whispered to him.
Unlike "normal" people, Ashley expected an answer from Champ. He whinnied a little, and then spoke. [brown]Ashley! I think i'm ready to go home now... i feel a lot better! How's everyone at home been without me? Man, it seems like ive been here forever![/brown] he said. Ashley shooshed him and laughed a little. When Champ got excited, he tended to talk a lot. Ashley put the palm of her hand on his forehead and rubbed it. He really like when she did that. She subtly glanced over at the girl that was cleaning to make sure that she wasnt looking at her like she was crazy. Ashley smiled lightly and kissed Champ on his velvety nose. [teal]I'm glad you're feeling better babe,[/teal] she whispered again. She had to leave him for a second now to go fetch his tack. To do this, she had to walk past the girl and to the tack room. Ashley hurridly strode to the tack room, looking down. She hoped with all her might that this girl hadnt just seen her talking to her horse. Kristy who had talked to every horse in the barn knew exactly about the girls powers. She walked over to the girl when she walked into the tack room, "you know...I talk to horses too" she says smiling. She hadnt met anyone else with the powers she had yet and was a little sad but she knew about Ashley cause she had talked to Champ every morning she fed him. Kristy looked from Ashley to her horse Silver who was right across the hall and smiled, "its not weird even if you do talk to your horse. My cousin Jason talks to them all the time and he is a regular" she smiles.

Ashley made it to the tack room. She gathered Champ's bridle and western saddle, but was greeted by the girl who was cleaning at the door. you know...I talk to horses too", she said. Ashley was still turned to the wall when she heard this. Her eyes went wide and she couldnt breathe. This girl knew about her secret. Ashley hadnt met anyone that she knew had powers. She didnt know that there was a whole other world filled with people like her. She had lived around normal people her whole life, and she just thought that her power was just something that made her special. She tried to calm herself down. "Its not weird even if you do talk to your horse. My cousin Jason talks to them all the time and he is a regular" the girl spoke again. A regular? Whats a regular? Was she talking about people who didnt have powers? This was all new to Ashley, and she was getting kind of freaked out. She turned around to meet the girl's gaze. [teal]"Who are you?[/teal] she asked her. [teal]"And, what are you talking about? Regulars? People like 'us'?"[/teal] Ashley bombarded with questions. She stood there, holding Champ's bridle in her left hand and a brush in her right hand, staring at the girl who seemed to know more about her than herself. [/blockquote]

Kristy looked at the girl slightly surprised. Kristy of course knew there were other people with powers she just didnt know of many. The girl looked freaked out and she laughed a little, and sighed when she started asking her question she took them in stride. She was always pretty calm and questions didnt usually bother her. She looked evenly at the girl, "Im Kristy, sorry should have introduced myself...One of the barn staff as well as boarders and one of the best show jumpers in the country" she smiles, "you know exactly what im talking about, your able to communicate with animals. But my guess is your ability isnt limited to just one or two kinds like mine is. And yes regulars people who dont actually have powers and are oblivious to the people who do have them. Even though there close friends...As well as yes there are other people who have powers but not exactly like ours. I know of people who can produce fire and do stuff like that...And invisibility, mind reading as well" she says shooting off all the answers quickly.
ooc: sorry I couldnt change I didnt have time.

Ashley's head was spinning now. People with powers, like spouting fire and water?! This was so much to take in at one time. Then, she realized that she had done the right thing by keeping her powers a secret. [teal]"Um, yeah, no. My powers arent limited; i... i can speak to any animal. From a lizard to a bear. You name it."[/teal] she said. She was starting to calm down. Kristy could most deffinitely help her with all of this. Ash realized she hadnt introduced herself, and quickly changed that. [teal]"Oh, and im Ashley by the way,"[/teal] she said, a smile starting to come back to her face. She gathered Champ's tack and walked out of the tack room and to Champ's stall, hoping that Kristy would follow her so they could talk a little more. Ashley turned to her. [teal]"So, best jumper in the country, eh? Nice. You uh, you think you could give me any lessons? I usually dont ride English, but i do have a horse that's trained in dressage and jumping. I could bring him around. His name is Beau, and he's a Warmblood"[/teal] she informed Kristy. Ashley had always admired the skill it took to ride English. She took lessons when she was younger, but then it got to be too expensive, and her dad said that she didnt need to learn how to ride fancily around the farm. So, she stuck with western. But, she really did want to continue learning how to ride English, an maybe, someday, enter some shows. [/blockquote]

Kristy smiled she knew the girl of course since she was boarding there but they had never talked, "well its nice to finally meet you...And I said one of, deffinatly not the best probably top ten. My cousin on the other hand is acutally ranked as number five in the country and like fiftith in the world. But this is while he is still seventeen when he turns eighteen that will change of course because then he is ranked with the adults" she smiles and then nods, "sure...I would love to give you some lessons, if you would like I could give your horse some training as well, im about level five dressage" she says, she personally hated Dressage but she was pretty good at it. Since her own horse was trained in Three-Day Event. She smiled as she followed ashley.

Ashley smiled. [teal]"Ok, thanks!"[/teal] she said. She led Kristy over to Champ and then took his head into her hands. She rubbed his forehead a little and introduced him. [teal]"Kristy, this is my horse Champ- short for Champion"[/teal] she smiled. And, if Champ had the muscles, he would've smiled too. Champ dared not speak to Ashley when someone else was around, and he didnt know that Kristy could speak to horses (and dogs) yet. Ashley saw that he wasnt speaking, and she leaned over the stall door and whispered in his ear. [teal]Its alright, she can talk to horses and dogs. You can talk to her...[/teal] she whispered. Then Champ nodded and looked over at Kristy. [brown]Hi...[/brown] he said. Champ didnt really like new people; he was usually shy around them. [teal]He's not fond of new people... but, im sure he'll warm up to you[/teal] Ashley told Kristy. She smiled and just patted Champ on the neck. [/blockquote]

OOC: You have to remember that if he is boarded there Kristy would be around him all the time. She works there and rides there almost constantly, before and after school.
Kristy smiles, "hello Champ" she says softly, "so he is a western horse?" she asks, "what is he in? Barrels, pole bending? Cutting?" she asks kindly. She had ridden western a few years of her life as she was training in English as well. But she hadnt liked Western cause it had been to easy for her and she had quit.

Ashley smiled, and she could tell that Kristy and Champ would get along. Even though Kristy had been at the stables every day, Champ still didnt know her very well because he had never talked to her. [teal]Um, yeah, we ride western, and we do some barrel racing, and cutting. It's really easy to do cutting...since we can communicate. I dont have to do anything; he does it all[/teal] Ashley told Kristy. She opened the stall door and walked inside and stood next to Champ. She slipped his bridle over his head and positioned the bit in his mouth. [teal]But, if i were to learn english, i wouldnt train Champ[/teal] she told Kristy, and then she cupped her mouth and whispered to her, [teal]He's not a big fan of fancy shows and stuff...[/teal]. She smiled and Champ snorted. [brown]I heard that![/brown]. Ashley giggled. [teal]I would either train Beau, who already knows how to do some dressage, or Big Al, who is a retired race horse[/teal] she explained. She saddled Champ up in his dark cocoa brown western saddle and led him out of the stable and out onto the concrete slab that was used to wash the horses. [/blockquote]

Kristy smiled and nodded, "well if you would like I hate dressage but im really good at it...I could help train your horses, and your retired race horse? How old is he is he still pretty young or have you had him a few years? I could train him to be a jumper, of course depending on how well your seat is you might have to go through some English training as well" Kristy explains smiling at Champ.

[teal]Oh, Al is only 6. And he's very strong and smart, and I'm sure he would love anything you put him through![/teal] Ashley said with a smile. Alabama Swiss- Al's full name- looked like a furocious beast of a black stallion. He got moody sometimes, but otherwise he was a very good horse. Ashley gave Champ some water before mounting him. Once mounted, she looked down at Kristy. [teal]Hey, you wanna go for a ride?[/teal] she asked with a smile. Ashley didnt have many friends, if any. She was always very quiet and secluded, but she liked Kristy, and since they had so much in common, she figured that they could be good friends. [/blockquote]

Kristy smiled when Ashley told her about her ex-racer and nodded, "sounds fun...My kind of horse" she says laughing. She then nodded when she asked if she wanted to go for a ride, "yeah just let me throw a bridle on Silver" she says and heads to the tack room grabbing Sterling Silver bridle and walked across the way and bridled him quickly. She used her muscles and his neck to climb on his back. She smiled as she sat on his slightly boney back, she then looked to Ashley, "ready?" she asks. She was saddleless and helmetless. If her cousin caught her he would murder her. She heads out of the stall smiling.

Ashley smiled widely when Kristy accepted her offer. She backed Champ off the slab of concrete and waited for Kristy to mount her horse and join her. When Kristy asked if she was ready, Ashley nodded and started off at a trot. [/blockquote]

Kristy smiled and kicked Silver into a trot. She had ridden him bareback a lot so she was used to this and it didnt bother her. She had an amazing seat so she didnt slip at all but just sat there easily.
