Amber was walking down the junior hall for one of the last times. School was ending soon, and she was looking forward to the freedom and fun times accompanied with the summer season. She was anxious about placing her college applications, but she knew that there was nothing to really be worried about because she was a good student and a hard worker.
She looked around at all the classrooms and headed toward her locker. She put the combination in and opened it. All the pictures and post-it notes stuck on the inside of the door made Amber smile. Looking around for a trash can, she wanted to start cleaning her locker out so she wouldn't have to do it the last day. She had grabbed a handful of garbage - old pencils, full notebooks, and other useless items - and started walking to throw it all away. She might have misjudged how much she could carry, however, when she started leaving a trail of things behind her. Struggling to still hold onto what she had in her arms, "Aaaarrgghhh! Are you serious?!" she said to no one in particular. There were a few people in this area of the hallway, and some of them looked at her strangely. She didn't care, though, and kept on talking to herself. "Just my luck, go to do something constructive and have karma come and bite you right in the butt." She walked back to the trail she had created and started to pick up the mess.
