Sammi leaned against the counter in her families' spacious kitchen, examining her nails. Amber had warned her against doing this, but she couldn't pass up the oppurtunity to scare the little nerd into the next millenium. Would he cry, she wondered, when he found out that his girlfriend was being bullied by a professional hit man? Probably. She laughed to herself and picked up the phone to dial. It rang a few times...

Liam was in his house, playing his favorite video games, until he heard his cellphone ring, he opened it and saw it was Sammi, he was happy, for a moment he thought she would never call him. He opened it happily, his heart practically beating fast. "Hello?" He just managed to say, wondering why she called him, but he seemed happy about it, as he waited for an answer, while pausing the game.

Sammi's eyes lit up when she heard his voice. This was going to be fun. "Oh, hi Liam...this is Sammi Miller...I was just calling to uh...well, you know your girlfriend..." She waited to see what his reaction to that word would be.

"Huh.... what girlfriend?" Liam just asked, kinda confused on the whole girlfriend thing, he didn't have one, who could she be talking about. He just scratched his hair, still confused, what was she trying to say. "Is that your way... of asking me out for a date?" He asked, hopeful but he knew that wouldn't be the truth, he just scratched his hair again, wondering if girls had some kind of code language.

Sammi dropped her phone. When she picked it up again the first words from her mouth were, "ew gross no. I'm talking about Maggie Russell..." She dragged out the syllables in Maggie's name so that it took her about three times as long to say than it should have.

"Oh... ok.... huh what about Maggie?" Liam asked, perplexed, what was going on, why would a girl call him to talk about Maggie, this Sammi was quite odd and mysterious. He just looked at the pause screen, he did seem a bit sad, was he that bad looking? He just sighed a little. "Is there something wrong?" Liam just said.

Sammi was stunned that he hadn't denied the fact they were dating. Was the nerd squad actually a couple? Ignoring his question, she posed her own. "So you are dating her! I knew it. This is a headline for the school's paper."

"Why would I be dating her... she is just a friend.. I'm interested in y....I mean... I'm just interested on.. video games and such... and cars... Maggie and I are just friends, we just met..." Liam asked, wondering what was wrong with Sammi. "School paper, you are the one writing them? If you are then you sure have talent." He said, his voice seemed to admire her though, like if he really thought she was the one writing them. "But no.. if you got to know, we aren't dating me and her, we are just friends, plus Marcus seems.... huh.. I mean, wants to be good friends with her.. as well. But is this why you called me?"

The answer she got flustered her. Ignoring all the parts where he complimented her or hinted that he liked her, she barreled onwards. "The reason that I called is that...well, you should know...your friend..." She paused. She couldn't do it. She was going to leave him wanting to know more by hanging up and making him miserable and anxious for news, but she suddenly had a wave of guilt crash over her and she blurted out, "Amber hired a professional to make Maggie stay away from Marcus but I have a feeling it's going to end badly."

"Yes what about my friend?" Liam just said, though when she revealed what was happening, this was bad, he almost dropped his cellphone, he felt cold for some kind of reason, he didn't know why. "Amber.. is she really that stupid..... A hitman... Sammi....I'll.. .call you back." His voice, shaking a bit by his anger, as he ended the talk. He ran out of his house, he was in his pajamas which was normal looking too normal. He just ran toward the park, not even taking his car, since he knew it wouldn't be that far, it shouldn't.

Sammi stared numbly at the phone in her hand. Now that she had heard how concerned Liam was for his friend, she felt even worse. After another pause, she grabbed a set of keys and headed for the garage. She was going to Amber's house and they were going to the park to stop this. [The End]
