"Alright." Liam said, preparing himself, though eventually she kicked the ball and missed the target. He just looked at her, his face wasn't laughing, he was more like thinking, he looked at her legs, before going for the ball. As he brought it in front of her. "You have to be focused Sammi, when you kick the ball, always make sure you know the target, just focus and visualize the target."

"I was visualizing the target" she laughed. She wasn't upset that she hadn't kicked the ball to the right place. She knew she wasn't a soccer player. She was only doing this to prove it to Liam.

"Sammi, why are you playing soccer?" Mal jogged over and scooped up the ball, eyeing her friend with amusement. "I thought you said you were done with it?" She began juggling the ball with her thighs and then she let the ball fall in front of her. "Come on, try and get it" she laughed. She was sweating and her hair was a mess and she was tired, but she still knew she could keep the ball away from her friend forever.
It was then that she noticed Liam. "Oh. Hi. I'm Mallory Johnson. You must be Liam." Sammi had texted her about him last night. She smiled brightly and held out one hand.
Sammi used this oppurtunity to toe the ball away from Mal's feet and laugh triumphantly. "Got it!"

Liam saw a girl approaching and heard her voice, that must be Mal, he just looked smiling as she took the ball, probably about to toy with Sammi, until she realized he was also also here, he shook her hand. "Nice to meet you.. and yup that's me." Liam said as he soon started laughing when Sammi took the ball, maybe a cheap shot but she still managed to take the ball, he then looked at Sammi and then again at Mal, wondering what Mal would do now. "I think I'll sit if you two girls decide to have a match against each other."

"Oh that is IT, it's on Miller!" Mal poked Sammi in the shoulder. To an outsider, it would look like the two girls hated each other, but up close there was obviously a teasing glint in their eyes that one would only equate with two girls that had been best friends their entire lives. And they had been. They had lived next door to each other since they were born. They were both part of big families and both of them had parents highly involved in the town. The only difference would be that Sammi was two years older than Mal, but that had never stopped them from hanging out.
Sammi threw back her head and laughed, poking Mal in return. "You want a battle, Johnson? You got one." She turned and grabbed Liam's arm before he could sit. "But I get Liam."

Liam just smiled, it was funny to see such a scene amusing even, he wondered if he should take a video of it with his cellphone but decided that he didn't want his head used as the soccer ball, he was about to sit until Sammi caught his arm, he looked around confused. "Wait.. what.. what do you mean you get me.." Liam said, hoping this didn't imply that he had to play as well, with Mal's skill with the ball, he just didn't really want to face someone who knows what she is doing and good at it. Liam just looked confused at Sammi and then at Mal.

"I mean, you're on my team. Come on Liam, please? The two of us might have a slim chance against her. By myself, there's no way." Sammi bit her lip, trying to look all innocent and vulnerable. "Please?"

Mal laughed. Not in a mean way though. "Ok, fine. You two against me. We setting any stakes or boundries?" While talking, she subtly, stole the ball back from Sammi's feet and placed it behind her.

"Sammi.. I would like to help.. though remember... my injuries.." Liam said, whispering to her, though the painkiller did seem to make him feel better. Though if an accident would happen, then Doctor Riley might get angry, too angry even. He just looked at Mal and gulped wondering if it was such a good idea playing against a pro. "A..alright.. guess I can try.."

"You'll do great" she whispered back. "You won't even have to run a lot. I'll do that. Just stand near the net and kick it in whenever I pass it to you but kick it away if it's coming from her foot." She looked around for the ball. "Hey, where'd the ball go?"

Mal chuckled and looked down at her feet where the ball was nestled peacefully. "Oh that's where it went" she exclaimed with fake surprise. "Guess I start with it." She lifted her foot, pretending to shoot the ball. Sammi flinched, and Maggie lowered her foot, dribbling the ball around her and all the way to the net. "My point" she cheered, passing the ball to Sammi who almost tripped over it. "Your turn."

Liam just looked as the ball went in the net, this was pretty bad, he just put the palm of his hand on his forehead, looking at Sammi that almost tripped. They were done for that's for sure, they couldn't survive this kind of think, though he just looked at Sammi, hoping she would concentrate enough. Liam just looked at her. "Come on Sammi.. you can do this."

Sammi knew that playing fairly she would never win. Locking eyes with Liam, she tried to tell him to just stay put, no matter what. Then she put her foot on the ball and fell to the ground, wincing. "My ankle" she yelped, holding it with both hands and writhing in what looked like real pain. Then when Mal came running towards her with a look of concern, leaving the net wide open, Sammie took her foot, the one that was supposedly injured, and kicked the ball towards where she hoped Liam still was. "Go Liam" she cheered.

Liam nodded, he soon saw something odd happening, he thought she was really hurt, until of course he received a pass, he kicked the ball immediately to the empty net, hoping it would be a goal, judging by the fact that the ball was going fast toward the empty net, it would be a goal unless Mal was fast and could headbutt the ball to safety. He just looked at the girls, now that was what he called cheating, though Sammi didn't stand a chance playing the game fairly.

Mal didn't even try and get to the ball. She just stared at the two of them for a minute. "That was just cheap" she laughed, shaking her head. "So unfair. You wouldn't last a minute in a real game. Anyways, to more serious matters...Liam, you want to see my dad?" She sat on the ground to stretch.
Sammi grinned like the cheshire cat. She thought her cheeks would fall off from smiling so much. "Hey, all's fair in love, war, and soccer with my best friend who was a starting forward on the varsity team as a freshman and continues her streak as a sophomore." She took a deep breath after having said all that in one breath.
